The current generation BMW 1 Series comes largely unchanged for the model year 2009. The new models in the BMW 1 Series model include 135i and 128i versions. The size and price of the model is almost similar to the BMW 3 series model. The 2009 BMW 1 series model is available in both the coupe and convertible versions. The standard engine to both the models is a 3.0 liter V6 model that produces 300 hp of power. The engine can be mated to either 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. With the powerful engine, the luxury car can achieve fuel economy of 18 miles per gallon in the city premises and 28 miles per gallon on the highway roads.
