Although BMW has just launched the new 1-series lineup in the year 2010, the rumors have been on an all time high that BMW 1 Series 2012 models are currently under development. The BMW 1-series cars have been in the market since 2004, and now the latest generation BMW 1-series codenamed F20 is under production.
The BMW 1 Series 2012 models will comprise of 116i loaded with 1.3L turbo engine capable of delivering 136 hp, 118i with 1.3L turbo engine capable of delivering 177 hp, the new 120i with 2.0L turbo that can churn out 218 hp, the 130i with 3.0L engine that will deliver 272 hp, and the 135is with 3.0L twin turbo capable of developing 326 hp.

Coming to the diesel variants, the new 118d with 2.0L turbo will be able to deliver 150 hp, the 120d with 2.0L turbo will churn out 184 hp, and the 123d with 2.0L twin turbo will be capable of developing 211 hp.
So long as BMW continues to deliver the large engines, in light weight design with classic BMW handling, the new models are bound to be welcomed by the potential buyers as well as the reviewers. So, keep your fingers crossed for something really cool in 2012!
